Mass Self-Expression Texts as a Promising Research Field: Interdisciplinary Perspective

Abstract:
This paper presents a study of collective memories about precise historic period reflected respectively in public opinion polls and in mass self-expression texts. Authors prove the hypothesis about compatibility of two research techniques for the particular case and confirm that both the opinion polls and the method of multidimensional analysis of mass consciousness texts are suitable for research of historical consciousness. Therefore authors consider the method of multidimensional analysis of mass consciousness texts to be applicable to mass communications studies in social sciences.
