Comparative Fundamental Analysis of Stock Market Indices in Ex-Yugoslavia Countries

Abstract:
Comparative fundamental analysis of stock market indices in former Yugoslavia in 2011 is conducted in this paper. The comparison is conducted on the basis of the fundamental indicators which have been calculated from the financial reports of the companies that are part of the market index. Fundamental analysis was performed, initially, by making fundamental analysis of each company’s stock in the index and then, based on the weight of the company’s stock in the market index, fundamental analysis of the index is performed. For the purpose of thorough comparative analysis of the markets in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia, the fundamental indicators of investment, liquidity and profitability, which are considered to give a relevant insight of the stock market, were calculated.
