Abstract:

Modern societies - both in Poland and worldwide - are under increasing pressure to promote active lifestyles. The need to undertake regular physical activity and its beneficial impact on health and overall quality of life is increasingly emphasised. One factor that can support the uptake of such activity is an adequately developed and accessible sports infrastructure, adapted to the needs of different age and social groups. Nevertheless, individual motivation to be active plays a key role. The aim of this study is to identify the level of interest in the subject of sports infrastructure and physical activity as factors supporting the development of healthy lifestyles - an aspect particularly relevant in the context of contemporary demographic changes and health challenges. The starting point for addressing this issue is the ageing of societies observed worldwide, the increase in civilisation diseases and the growing importance of preventive health care. The thesis assumes that interest in the discussed topics - also in terms of scientific research - is on the rise. In order to verify this thesis, an analysis of the content of the Scopus and Web of Science databases will be carried out, including the number of publications and citations relating to the issues of sports infrastructure, physical activity and their role in developing healthy habits in society.
