CHINA IN THE MULTILATERAL TRADING SYSTEM AND THE FUTURE OF THE WTO

Abstract:

This paper analyzes the role of China's trade development and its role in the multilateral trading system and the future of the WTO from the perspective of the rise of great powers and the adjustment of international order. The following problems are solved in this paper: what impact of the WTO membership expansion on Doha round negotiation is, what FTAs expansion's impact on multilateral trading system is, what crisis can be caused to the WTO due to the fact of the rise of mega-deals and how the WTO's future will possibly look like. The structure of the paper is determined by the goals and objectives set in the work. The thesis, consists of an introduction, two chapters with conclusions for each of them, a conclusion, a list of used literature, a list of sources and a list of abbreviations. The introduction justifies the choice of the topic, its relevance, defines the main goals and objectives of the study.
