The International Institute of Social and Economic Sciences is an independent non-profit institution founded to promote research and disseminate knowledge. Its goal is to faciliate communication and open discussion between scholars, researchers and practitioners interested in social and economic sciences. Our interdisciplinary conferences and social events as well as our journals give opportunities for people to meet, exchange ideas and present their results of scientific research.

Director

Professor Robert Holman was appointed the director of IISES in 2011. He is Professor of economics at Economic University in Prague. In 2011-2013 Professor Holman served as an advisor to the President of the Czech Republic. In 2005-2011 he was a member of the Board of the Czech National Bank.
