The cathedral's highlight is the Chapel of San Brizio, featuring Luca Signorelli's brilliant frescoes of the Day of Judgment and Life after Death. The fourth scene is a frightening depiction of the Damned taken to hell and received by demons.
Not far from the Cathedral you can visit the Pozzo di San Patrizio (St. Patrick's Well) from the 16th century. The central well is surroundedn with two spiral ramps in a double helix, which allowed mules to carry empty and full water vessels separately in downward and upward directions without obstruction.
